Our customer asked us to create a cut out stainless steel house sign of the number and road of their house to mount on the brick wall of their new driveway entrance.

Important considerations included achieving a classic yet fresh look within a specific budget that would work well with back lighting and hidden stud stand-off mountings . They were also keen to find a sign maker who could create a bespoke sign based on their description and drawing, so our “idea-to-item” custom metalwork service was the perfect match for them.

We based our design on the customer’s email description and drawing. We recommended using satin brushed silver stainless steel as the material for the sign, and joining the glyphs with a footer bar rather than a back bar. Using this material and technique enabled us not only to create an elegant, highly readable, maintenance free sign that would last for many decades and be fully recyclable at the end of its life, but also to improve the back lighting effect and readability, with the added bonus of reducing manufacturing time, and therefore cost to the customer.
