The Metal signs We make

All the signs we make use one or more CNC (computer numerical controlled) plasma cut sheet metals in the front design.  As well as signs that are made of metal we can also make multi-material signs that combine metal with other materials including wood and acrylic.  We can even fit energy efficient LED lighting to illuminate your sign from the front or from behind.

Also available from us are both traditional chemical metal etching and laser metal etching.  These techniques are perfect for finer details on smaller metal signs, plaques and control panel labelling.

What metals do you stock for Custom metal signs?

We have many common sheet metals available for signage including mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium.  We also work with many specialist and premium sheet metals including genuine COR-TEN® weathering (rusting) steel, aluminium treadplate, marine grade stainless steel, copper, brass and bronze.
Which you choose depends on the look you want for your sign and the location you’re putting it up in.  No matter what your requirements, we will guide you through choosing the perfect materials for you.

What surface finishes and colours do you do on custom metal signs?

Popular surface finishes we use regularly include brushed, satin, polished, our own unique vintage blacking, naturally rusted, and bare metal.  We also offer thousands of gloss, satin and matt colours and special effects powder coatings from all the best colour ranges, many to Qualicoat standard or architectural grade.

Which you choose for your custom metal sign depends on the look of your sign and the location.  We have expertise in a vast array of surface finishes and treatments and will talk you through the options that will be most suitable for your particular project.

Can I see what my sign will look like before you make it?

Our custom metal sign design service includes a free proof of any sign you order, and we don’t start manufacture until we have your approval.

Can I change the design before you make it?

Yes, Our custom metal sign design service includes free minor modifications.  Some more major changes such as a redesign may add further costs, but we would let you know what those would be before carrying out any chargeable work.

Can see how my sign will look once it’s installed?

Yes, we can create artist’s impressions that mock up how your custom metal sign will look once they’re installed using photos of your premises, landscape, home or garden.  Please ask us to add this to your order if you’d like us to do this for you.

Do you supply fixings for Custom Metal Signs?

Yes we do.  We want to be as sustainable as possible so we’ll check with you if you need any fixings, and if so we’ll make you a fixings kit to suit the surface you’re fixing your metalwork to.  We can supply sets of fixings and fixings kits for most signs in most situations.  We can advise what you need if you’re not sure.

From screws and Rawl plugs to bespoke brackets for railings we’ll supply the best quality fixings to make sure your metalwork stays exactly where you want it.

You won’t have to throw away one of those “standard” little plastic bags of fixings, you’ll have everything you need to hand to fix your metal sign when it arrives, and we get to save the planet together.
